Job Summary

As a Door-to-Door Canvasser for Homesmiles, you will engage with homeowners in designated areas to introduce our home maintenance and cleaning services. Your primary goal is to generate interest, schedule appointments, and build relationships with potential customers. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with Homeowners: Approach residents in assigned neighborhoods to introduce Homesmiles’ services, delivering a compelling pitch about our home maintenance and cleaning solutions.

  • Generate Leads: Identify potential customers, collect contact information, and schedule appointments for follow-up by the sales team.

  • Promote Brand Awareness: Distribute marketing materials, such as flyers and brochures, and represent Homesmiles in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Track and Report Progress: Record daily interactions, leads generated, and appointment details using provided tools or apps, and submit reports to the team leader.

  • Maintain Product Knowledge: Stay informed about Homesmiles’ service offerings, pricing, and promotions to answer questions confidently and accurately.

  • Adhere to Guidelines: Follow company scripts, ethical sales practices, and local regulations regarding door-to-door solicitation.

Qualifications

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse homeowners effectively.

  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently, stay motivated, and maintain a positive attitude in a results-driven role.

  • Physical Stamina: Comfortable walking and standing for extended periods in various weather conditions.

  • Sales or Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in sales, customer service, or canvassing is a plus but not required.

  • Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to commit to a consistent schedule.

  • Valid ID and Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • Ability to pass a background check (if applicable).

  • Access to a smartphone for tracking leads and communicating with the team.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate homeowner availability.

Work Environment

  • Location: Field-based, visiting residential neighborhoods assigned by the team leader.

  • Schedule: Part-time or full-time options available, typically 20–40 hours per week.

  • Conditions: Outdoor work in various weather conditions, requiring appropriate attire and resilience.
