Job Description

As a Gutter and Roof Cleaning Technician, you will provide professional cleaning of gutters, downspouts, and rooftops on residential and light commercial properties. Your work helps protect homes from water and moss damage while enhancing safety and curb appeal. You’ll be a trusted service professional and brand ambassador for HomeSmiles.

Key Responsibilities

Safely clean gutters and downspouts using manual and vacuum-based methods.
Perform non-pressure roof cleaning (e.g., moss removal, debris clearing, soft wash treatments).
Inspect roofs and gutter systems for blockages, buildup, or visible issues.
Maintain all ladders, tools, and safety gear to company standards.
Operate a company vehicle responsibly and keep it organized and stocked.
Use mobile apps to document service visits, take photos, and communicate results.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate findings clearly.
Follow all safety protocols, including proper fall protection and ladder use.
Note: Technicians do not perform repairs or structural modifications.

Required Qualifications

Comfortable working at heights and on rooftops.
Physically fit with the ability to lift 50 lbs and perform outdoor labor.
Mechanically inclined with good attention to detail.
Self-starter who can work independently or with a partner.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Proficient using smartphones or tablets for scheduling and job documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in gutter or roof cleaning, landscaping, or home exterior services.
Familiarity with moss treatment, roof debris clearing, or soft washing techniques.
OSHA safety or ladder certification a plus.
Military service or veteran status is highly respected.

Compensation: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
