Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and personable Part-Time Sales Associate to build relationships with potential clients, communicate the value of our services, and help drive growth in the Hampton Roads area. This role is ideal for individuals who are customer-focused, results-driven, and skilled at generating interest and trust in a service-based business. Pay: $16–$19/hour + performance-based commissions (average total earnings $20–$30/hour). Top performers could potentially reach $15K+ annually.

Responsibilities

Proactively generate leads by engaging with homeowners, property managers, and HOA decision-makers via phone, social media, local visits, and networking.
Educate potential clients on the benefits of bundled preventative maintenance services and tailor recommendations to meet their property needs.
Track leads, log customer interactions, and report sales activity weekly using company-provided tools.
Create and implement engaging content and campaigns across social media platforms to support lead generation and build trust in our brand.
Attend local homeowner association meetings, real estate events, or vendor fairs to promote services and establish relationships.
Follow up with prospective clients consistently and close deals by emphasizing value, convenience, and long-term benefits of our services.
Maintain a solid understanding of HomeSmiles’ service offerings and pricing structures to confidently communicate with clients.

Qualifications

1+ years of service-based or consultative sales experience (non-retail preferred); experience with home services, maintenance, property management or real estate a plus.
Proficiency in social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for business promotion and content generation.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage leads, schedule follow-ups, and handle sales tools independently.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills—able to convey service value clearly and professionally.
Comfortable working remotely, with basic computer literacy (email, spreadsheets, mobile CRM tools, video calls).
Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a strong drive to exceed individual sales targets and earn performance bonuses.
Local travel required to meet with prospects or attend community events.
Customer service mindset with the ability to manage objections, resolve concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
Preferred: Experience working with or selling to real estate professionals, home inspectors, or property managers.

Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
